At the Institute for Social Public Health, we train the next generation of public health leaders. Graduate students learn how the intersections of social systems and social discourse shape health inequities. Being better equipped enables graduates to facilitate multifaceted and usable community-owned solutions.
Director of Public Health Training
She (her/hers) is committed to expanding the network of knowledge.
Dr. Walker grew up in a working town on the foothills of Pennsylvania. Her life’s goal is to empower people with agency. From teaching at-risk youth to being a Union leader, from supporting safe childcare centers to mentoring public health students, she is a catalyst for community resilience.
She and her husband Aaron affectionately call their 10-year-old daughter Adeline their "squiggle bug”. For Lorelei, this work gained true meaning when she entered their lives. Like all children, she brings hope and determination for a better world.
